How to Install
- INSTALL IN LESS THAN 2 MINUTES
- Step 1: Prepare the Wall Pipe. Ensure the old shower arm is removed. Clean out the wall pipe threads and clear any old sealant or residue.
- Step 2: Apply Sealant. Wrap plumbing tape (Teflon tape) clockwise several times around the threaded end of the new Shower Arm that will go into the wall pipe. This is crucial for preventing leaks.
- Step 3: Install Arm. Hand-screw the taped end of the Shower Arm into the wall pipe. Use a towel-wrapped wrench to gently tighten it until the arm is oriented correctly (pointing slightly downward). Do not overtighten.
- Step 4: Position Flange. Slide the circular escutcheon plate (flange) firmly against the wall to cover the opening around the wall pipe.
- ✅ Done! The Shower Arm is ready for the new shower head. Wait a few minutes before attaching the shower head to allow the Teflon tape to settle.

FAQs
- What is the purpose of the Wall-Mount Shower Arm?
The Shower Arm is the crucial component that extends the showerhead away from the wall's internal plumbing connection. It ensures your showerhead is correctly positioned for optimal spray coverage and height, helping to elevate the shower experience and accommodating different showerhead sizes, such as larger rainfall models.
- What are the thread sizes for the connections on this Shower Arm?
This Shower Arm is designed with universal compatibility. It features the standard 1/2-inch male thread on the end where the showerhead connects and a 1/2-inch male thread on the end that connects inside the wall fitting, ensuring it fits with virtually all standard showerheads and existing home plumbing connections.
- What is the Shower Arm made of, and is it built to last?
Shower arms are typically made from durable metals such as brass, stainless steel, or metal with a chrome finish. These materials are chosen for their high quality, strength, and resistance to corrosion and rust in a high-moisture environment, ensuring the arm remains sturdy and maintains its appearance for a long service life.
- How do I prevent the Shower Arm from leaking or coming loose after installation?
To prevent leaks, you must use Plumber's Tape (Teflon tape) on the threads of the arm before screwing it into the wall fitting. Wrap the tape 3-4 times in a clockwise direction. Screw the arm in until it is hand-tight, and then use a protected wrench or cloth to turn it another half-turn until it is tight and correctly aligned. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the threads.
- How do I choose the correct length or style of Shower Arm for my bathroom?
The ideal length depends on the size of your showerhead and the distance you need the water stream to fall from the wall. Longer arms are better for larger showerheads or spacious areas to center the water. Standard or short arms are suitable for smaller spaces. Choose a style (like straight or angled) that complements your bathroom design and provides comfortable coverage for the tallest user.
